Activity Update April 2013: Pench Madhya Pradesh

Highlights
·      One voluntary work project to clean water body  at Aamajhari
·      2 nature trails for students of Khambha and Turiya
·      8  medical camps –  194  patients treated
·      Informed Forest Dept about fire in forest once and assisted in fighting it
·      Awareness meetings on livestock management and stall feeding at Turiya and Satosha
·      Install water pots for birds at Khambha and Turiya

On April 7, Niranjan Hinge led a team of  5 children of  Aamajhari in a programme to clean a water body adjoining the village, which is used mainly by domestic livestock.

On April 4, Niranjan led 12 children from Turiya on a nature trail in the jungle adjoining the village. On the trail, Niranjan identified various species of local flora and fauna and explained the need for conservation to the children. A similar nature trail was organized on April 5 for 5 students of  Khambha village.
