Conservation

On January 25, Niranjan Hinge organized a programme to build a check dam on a stream adjoining the jungle around 300 metres from Turia village. A team of 8 people, including youths and school children, joined hands with Niranjan to build the dam. The water body will benefit both domestic livestock (in the day) and wild animals (at night). Spotted deer and sambar are regularly spotted in the area while jackals are spotted more occasionally. Photos below.
