I agree with both Bekoff and Marian Dawkins actually. I think it's bad science and bad logic to believe humans are completely different from other animals, and Bekoff is quite right when he talks of "identifying commonalities." But anthropomorphism can lead to a lot of problems as well, and can lead to misunderstandings between us and other species.
