Activity Update July 2013: Pench Madhya Pradesh

Highlights

·       Celebration of "Global Tiger Day" at Aamajhari - 184 students participated in the event
·      One voluntary work project to clean school premises at Aamajhari
·      Two plantation programmes at Aamajhari and Teliya
·      10 classroom lectures on wildlife conservation - 332 students attended
·      Environment awareness rally at Teliya -- 27 students participated 
·      7 film shows on nature and wildlife -- 485 students participated
·      8 medical camps -- 262 patients treated
·      Started IT education programme at Teliya

On July 20, an environment awareness rally was conducted at Govt. Middle School, Teliya. 27 students participated in the rally. Students chanted slogans like “Aapna Farz Nibhayenge, Tiger Ko Bachayenge”, “Hum sabne ye thana hai tiger ko bachana hai”. Teachers also participated in the rally.

















On July 27, we organized a programme to lean the campus of Govt. Middle School, Aamajhari. After cleaning the area, new sites were prepared for seed plantation.  Seeds were then planted in these sites.

Education

During July, we organized 10 environmental education programmes in schools in our area of operation. We addressed 332 students in this programme.

During July 2013 we conducted 7 environmental film shows in our area of operation. We covered 485 students in this programme.

Mobile Health Unit (MHU)

We assisted NCSA’s Mobile Health Unit in conducting 8 medical camps in which 262 patients were treated.
