Conservation

On November 27, our field assistant Niranjan Hinge organized a voluntary work project programme at Khamrith village. Villagers with help from Niranjan cleaned the area near a hand pump, which had become overgrown with wild growth due to heavy monsoon rains. Photos below.

Environmental Education Programme

On November 10 and November 15, Niranjan Hinge took students from Turia on a nature trail in which he spotted and identified butterflies and birds encountered in the area near the villages. He also explained a few techniques of identifying pug marks and hoofmarks of animals near the village. Similar trails were organized at Khamba on November 18, at Aamajhari on November 29 and at Durgapur on November 30.
