Conservation
September 9 - 19
was “Ganesh Utsav,” a festival in
which Hindus worship Lord Ganesha. We used the opportunity presented by these
festival gatherings to spread the message of wildlife conservation. In the
evening, when villagers gathered near the idol of Lord Ganesha, we displayed
films on nature and wildlife conservation to create awareness among villagers.

and explained their features to the children. He also explained techniques of
identifying pugmarks and hoofmarks of animals near the village.
